The Grille Room at 545 Bound Brook Road is the kind of place where regulars know each other by name and newcomers feel like they've been coming for years. Open daily from 3 to 10 pm for members and their guests, it's a genuine neighborhood gathering spot, not a banquet hall that sits dark between events. Pull up a stool, order a round, and you'll understand why this lodge carries a 4.4-star rating across dozens of honest reviews.

The hall itself is spacious and meticulously kept. Guests who've booked it for baby showers and private celebrations consistently call it clean, beautiful, and easy to work with. Staff like Wally have earned personal shoutouts in reviews for being helpful and kind, the kind of detail that separates a real community lodge from a rental venue that just hands you a key.

Middlesex Elks BPOE #1488 is also home to one of the area's most popular free events: Bingo Night, held on the third Thursday of every month. No cover, no catch, just a full room of people having a good time. That's the Elks way.

What We Offer

The lodge offers two distinct experiences under one roof. The Grille Room handles everyday socializing, with a full bar, comfortable seating, and a daily 3 to 10 pm schedule that makes it easy to stop in after work or settle in for the evening. It's open to members and their guests, giving you a reliable place to unwind without the noise and expense of a commercial bar.

For larger gatherings, the event hall seats a crowd and has hosted everything from corporate meetings to milestone birthday parties and baby showers. The space is well-maintained, the staff are accommodating, and the lodge handles the logistics so you can focus on your guests. Rental inquiries are welcome from both members and the broader Middlesex community.

Beyond the physical space, membership in Lodge #1488 connects you to the national Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks network, with charitable programs, community initiatives, and social events running year-round. Free monthly Bingo is just the beginning of the calendar.

"I looked up a function that was going on over the weekend however I didn't end up attending the event so I can not give an opinion on the event I have been at the establishment in the past for a few events and everything was very nice the hall was decorated very nice and the food was delicious but I don't know if that was prepared by the Elks or if it had been catered by an outside company"

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
